Sleepless in Shorditch

A 90 year old true story should be worth a listen. Especially if that story is about a rare genetic insomnia, the discovery of which prompted a re-defining moment in medical science. Even more fascinating if that very story also happened to pass through the same country and minds as Benito Mussolini.

You can understand from the above three sentences why this story [found here in the New York Times] is a fascinating one, and also why a theatre company like Analogue would dive head first into exploring it in their own unique ethical stories meets physical theatre meets technology kinda way (that's a rubbish way of describing a very good company - guys, if you're reading this, I apologise).

This time with the corroboration of Mountview Theatre Academy, in particular, twelve of their wonderful final year acting students. The result, was SLEEPLESS.

Performed at Shoreditch Town Hall in April, here are a few production shots plus a little treat at the end.
